It's almost 5 a.m., and I'm writing to you from the sacred land of Khemet, Egypt. After six hours of restful sleep, I awoke with a powerful message that I feel deeply compelled to share with you this morning. Last night, as we embarked on our pilgrimage through this blessed land, one of our leaders guided us into a meditation. She invited us to allow a vision to emerge—one that would reveal why we are here and what we are meant to learn.
In my meditation, I saw a golden hourglass surrounded by an ever-expanding golden circle at its base. At the time, I didn’t fully understand its significance, but in my dreams, the meaning became clear. The vision was a reminder of the divine nature of time—how it moves not in a straight line, as we often believe, but in a circular and rhythmic flow. It spoke to the importance of trusting the unfolding of events in divine timing, rather than forcing things to happen according to our own schedules.
For years, my husband and I had longed to visit Egypt, even before the revolution in 2011. But the timing never felt right—until now. Everything in life happens in divine timing. This morning, I realized how all the pieces have come together perfectly. I recently completed one of the most significant projects of my life: a documentary on the wisdom of the people of the Andes. It took me three years to complete, and throughout the process, I allowed myself to be guided by divine inspiration, never rushing, but letting each scene develop in its own time, carrying its own message.
Three years ago, we made the difficult decision to leave our beloved home, a place we had built with so much love. As we were selling it, we discovered high levels of radon, a sign that it was time to move on. Now, three years later, that same house was surrounded by one of the most destructive fires our city has ever seen. The beautiful forest that once nourished my spirit is now scorched. This, too, is the nature of divine timing. We must be attuned to the signs, feeling when the pieces come together to tell us it’s time to move forward or to wait. We may not always understand how or why it happens, but it’s essential to trust in this divine timing, allowing it to guide us on the right path. Life moves in cycles, like the tides of the ocean—sometimes calling us to advance, and sometimes urging us to retreat.
A powerful example comes to mind. Today, we visited one of the many places where the Holy Family hid from Herod’s wrath. For twelve years, they lived in hiding, sometimes underground, until the time was right to return. Imagine if they hadn’t listened to divine guidance—how different the world might have been, how much more inhospitable.
I share this story with you as a reminder to open your heart to the divine guidance in your own life. Trust that everything unfolds as it should, even when the way forward seems uncertain. Allow yourself to be guided by the unseen forces that align the pieces of your life, like a magnificent jigsaw puzzle coming together in perfect harmony. Embrace the patience to wait when it’s time to wait and the courage to move forward when the moment is right. When you align yourself with this divine rhythm, you will find that life leads you exactly where you are meant to be.
